School Liaison - MCCS MCRD San Diego
 

The School Liaison’s mission is to identify and coordinate community resources to reduce the impact of the mobile lifestyle on military school-age children and families; to implement predictable support services that assist children/youth with relocations, life transitions, and achieving academic success; and to provide a wide range of resources that facilitate school transitions to parents, student, schools, commanders, and communities.

WHAT CAN THE SCHOOL LIAISON DO FOR YOU?
• Serving MCRD San Diego / Western Recruiting Region
• Help communicate with teachers, principals or other school personnel
• Help parents in making their child’s educational transition a smooth one in and out of San Diego
• Help empower parents with information, giving them a choice in their child’s educational future, in turn, making them their child’s best advocate
• Help make referrals to appropriate DOE, military or civilian agencies

ONLINE HOMEWORK HELP
Live Homework Help® by Tutor.com™ is a free, live, online tutoring service available in English and Spanish 24 hours a day. To use the service simply log on, select your grade and subject, and connect to a live tutor. Educational support is available for Kindergarten – 12th Grade, College Intro, and Adults.

SUBJECTS SUPPORTED
Subjects supported are all grade levels of math, science, English, and social studies. Use a chat window, online drawing board, file sharing, and website browsing to get help with any educational challenge.

TUTORING
Tutors can assist you with any schoolwork challenge you are facing, from basic skills, like grammar help or help with fractions, to a specific homework problem, or help studying difficult concepts and preparing for a test. Simply log on and connect with a tutor and tell the tutor what your challenge is using the chat window.

LOGGING ON
Log on using your usual USMC password. If you don't have that, contact MCRD's School Liaison to get a password.
