FITNESS CENTER POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

AUTHORIZED PATRONS

The following are considered to be “authorized patrons” and are able to utilize the Fitness Facility

  • Active Duty Military Military
  • Dependants
  • DoD Employees
  • Retirees Reservists

All patrons will be required to present a current and active military ID upon entering the facility in order to be able to utilize the facility and its services.

 

GUEST POLICY

Each authorized patron is allowed up to two guests at one time in the facility. 

  • The patron must accompany the guest(s) during their stay in the facility
  • There will be no guest left unattended and if so, they will be asked to leave and return with their sponsor

 

AGE RESTRICTIONS YOUTH 16 AND OVER

Unrestricted use of all fitness center facilities and equipment Need not be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian Shall receive program and equipment orientation by a staff certified personal trainer prior to being allowed access to the cardiovascular equipment and weight rooms.

 

YOUTH 12 to 15

Authorized use of the cardiovascular and weight rooms only with direct supervision by a parent or legal guardian. Authorized use of other areas of the fitness center with direct supervision by a parent or legal guardian with the exception of group exercise programs.

 

YOUTH 11 AND UNDER

Prohibited access to the fitness center.

 

WORKOUT ATTIRE

  • Appropriate modest exercise clothing shall be defined as clothing that does not expose the breast, nipple, buttocks, midriff, or groin areas
  • Tank tops may be worn provided that they are not snug fitting and the aforementioned areas of the breast or nipple are not exposed from the frontal or side views
  • Sports bras may be worn provided that they cover the entire area of the breasts and midriff
  • No headgear may be worn with the exception of sweatbands as directed by ALMAR 127/97
  • Spandex pants or shorts may be worn provided that they do not expose or display groin areas
  • Fitness Center Managers may request a patron to change or leave the facility if they deem the attire to be obscene or it creates a health or safety risk
  • Rubber exercise suits are prohibited in all areas of the fitness facility and sauna

 

LOCKER ROOM

If you're an avid gym user, you can reserve a locker for an entire year for free by signing up at the Fitness Center front desk. If you come and go, a daily locker may be more your speed and they are available on a first come first serve basis. 

 

Locks are not provided in either situation so you are encouraged to bring your own lock.  If locks are left on daily use lockers, the locks will be cut after a 24-hour period and the belongings stored for a week. After a week has gone by, the unclaimed belongs will be given to Navy Relief. Shorts must be worn at all times in the Sauna.
